Q. How long does it take to set up our new shared hosting service?
Answer
For orders placed between 09:00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday can be setup within 1 hour, orders outside of these hours may take a little longer to process. If you are registering a new domain or transferring a domain from another hosting provider it can also take longer.
Q. Can you register my domain name for me?
Answer
Yes, UMIS can manage all your domain registration requirements. If you are ordering selected shared hosting packages then you will also receive a free .uk domain name.
Q. If I have a problem setting up my web site what do I do?

Q. How much is extra disk space?
Answer
Extra disk space is available at £10.00 per 100Mbytes or £80.00 per 1Gbyte per year.
Q. How much is extra bandwidth (data transfer)?
Answer
Extra bandwidth is available at 2p per 1 MB per month. You can also purchace larger bandwidth packages in advance, for details please contact us.
Q. Do you host adult/warez sites?
Answer
No, we won't allow our customer's to run adult or warez sites, because it jeopardises the quality of our other customers' accounts.

Q. Is there a maximum number of domains per Hosting package?
Answer
You are free to add as many domains as you like to service but they will all point to the same content.
Q. Can I offer my clients www.myclient.mydomain.com?
Answer
Absolutely, you can use a sub domain in the same way as you would use a domain name and pointed at a shared hosting or sub-directory in your web space.
Q. Do you provide direct support to my clients?
Answer
No, as part of your reseller agreement with us you provide all technical support to your clients. If you can't solve one of you clients technical support issues then you can of course contact us to help you with this.
Q. What if I use more bandwidth than comes with my hosting package?
Answer
We will automatically bill you for any bandwidth used over your inclusive month allowance at the rate of 2p per MByte.
