Services Response Time


With all of the following services the likelihood of an outage is no more likely than you having a problem with your phone line at home or in the office. But we thought that it might be useful for customers choosing services to take a look at our experienced response time form the physical line providers.

Standard phone line as used in both our "Standard Dial-up" and our "Premier Dial-up" Internet Connection Accounts Up to 8 Hours

ISDN phone line as used in our "Business ISDN" connection Up to 4 Hours

ADSL connection Up to 2 Days

Leased line's. This service is also monitored 24 hours a day 7 days a week, so we know if there is a problem as soon as it occurs.
Up to 1 Hour

All of these services have been resolved quicker than this but they have also taken longer, and a day or two without e-mail or web access can be a long time in business.

With reliability being so important - both on the Internet and in business - the following defines the reliability of our different Internet connections in our experience. We would like to point out that there is no difference in the quality of service provided by UMIS, rather by the technology and the physical line provider e.g. British Telecom.
